Raw Greed Poll Update
Raw Greed readers were asked if they felt Google’s valuation was justified. 237 votes were submitted and the results were as follows: 54 people or 23% answered yes, 163 people or 69% answered no and 20 people or 8% felt unsure about Google’s valuation.
The next question I will post for Q1 2007 will be: “Is Baidu.com a good short candidate above $100?”
Raw Greed Freelance Programmer Needed, AJAX and Wordpress Experience Preferred
The portfolio and predictions pages are important components of the Raw Greed blog. At the moment I am manually editing the pages which is becoming more difficult to manage as my trading becomes more active and I add an increasingly large number of predictions. I am looking to hire a programmer who knows a bit about Wordpress and AJAX to script a plug-in that will allow me to manage these pages. I would like to have one form for portfolio and another for predictions and be able to add, edit or delete stock picks in the Wordpress admin page. The plug-in should generate a table output consistent with my portfolio and predictions page. I should be able to place some kind of call in my html pages to display the output of the plug-in. The portfolio page will no longer have notes, instead the portfolio page will list date sold, quantity sold, price sold, and automatically calculate the gain or loss in the same table. This will dramatically improve readability of the portfolio page. By using AJAX I want the prices of the stocks in my portfolio and predictions pages to dynamically update themselves. This will be a functionality upgrade to Raw Greed for readers to look forward too.
Raw Greed Year End Portfolio Adjustments
I’ve made some adjustments to my portfolio during the last two months of this year. Most notably, I’ve sold my positions in Yamana Gold Inc. (AUY), United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and Nortel Networks Corporation (NT). I’ve added a large position in Intel Corporation (INTC) to my portfolio. I continue to believe Intel shares are undervalued at today’s prices.
*Disclaimer: The author owns 5000 shares of INTC purchased at an average price of $20.55.
